EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE

This line of action is inspired by the United Nations proposal, assumed by the Brazilian State through the National Plan for Education in Human Rights, to promote a universal culture of human rights, covering both informational content and training for a citizen conscience. The pedagogical dimensions of health practices as care are explored, based on critical approaches to both human rights and education. Having social emancipation as an ethical and political horizon, based on social participation and the exercise of citizenship, it develops studies and practices focusing on health care technologies, professional education and health communication, with an emphasis on the potential of agents' experiences in reconstruction of health practices and, in particular, public health.
